Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide sensitivity and support for patients and their loved ones, when the patient is diagnosed with a chronic debilitating illness for which they do not elect aggressive treatment.

We promote the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity and that our families will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so.

Philosophy

Our philosophy is based on compassionate care that accepts death as a natural part of life.  For individuals who have been diagnosed with a chronic debilitating illness, hospice care facilitates the highest quality of life possible.

We treat the person, not the disease, and provide support tailored to the patient`s needs.

Benefits

We accept Medicare, Medicaid/Medical, private insurance, HMOs, private pay and other forms of reimbursement for our services.

Studies have shown hospice care to be no more costly - and frequently less expensive - than conventional care during the last six months of life.  This is because less high-cost technology is used, and family, friends and volunteers provide much of the day-to-day patient care at home.

How do services start?

To receive Hospice services:
  • The attending physician, patient, family members, social workers or discharge planners can make a referral.
  • If you call us directly, we will contact the patient`s physician for approval.
  • Services for the patient can start immediately.
  • Please call for a consultation at 562-272-6677.
